Multi-activity Camps (P1-S3)

Are you looking for a fun filled activity camp this October? Look no further than our On-X Multi-Activity Camp! Our trained staff will deliver a variety of activities for you to enjoy where you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and meet new friends. We will also host several fun themed challenges and activities where you might get to dress up, wear odd socks or go wild with your hair! With Halloween just round the corner, who knows? We are raring to go and can’t wait for an October week of fun, are you ready to join us?
Early drop off (8-10am) and late pick up (3-5pm) available.

Outdoor Activity Camp (P7-S6)
Mon 16th – Fri 20th October 2023
10am - 4pm
Kids between the ages of P7 – S6 can enjoy a range of different outdoor activities including gorge walking, paddle sports, rock climbing and mountain biking leaving from KVG pavilion in Renfrew.
Suitable for beginners and those with some experience of outdoor rock climbing, this session offers various climbs for all ages and abilities. Packing essentials: Packed lunch, change of clothes, and any medication that may be required on the day.
Lagoon Leisure Centre
Disability Sport and Activity Club (P1 - S6)
Tuesday 17th October 2023
10:30am - 12:00pm
Attendees will be able to take part in a weekly club where a bouncy castle will be on offer as well as the opportunity to take part in sports/activities led by qualified coaches, where partnerships are available our Affiliated Hub Clubs will be supporting with delivery. This family club is available to any family with a young person (P1-S6) with a disability and/or sensory impairment (Siblings welcome). A parent/guardian must stay with the participant for the duration of the club, but they are actively encouraged to take part! This 1hr hour long weekly programme allows all the family to take part in fun activities locally in Renfrewshire.

1pm - 2:30pm
Attendees will be able to take part in a weekly dance club! This is available to any family with a young person (P1-S6) with a disability and/or sensory impairment (Siblings welcome). A parent/guardian must stay with the participant for the duration of the club, but they are actively encouraged to take part!
Park Mains High School
OneRen/Scottish FA Football Camp (P1 - S2)
Mon 3rd July – Fri 11th August 2023
For kids between the ages of P1 - S2. Young players who attend may be taking their first steps in the game or be more experienced players who wish to work towards our elite player development programme. Each day will follow football related themes designed by experienced Scottish FA qualified coaches and in line with the National Player Pathway, which will allow players to develop their technique through individual and group skill practices along with small sided games.

Dance & Movement Camp (P1 - P7)
3rd - 21st July 2023
10am - 3pm
Kids between the ages of P1 - P7 can enjoy a variety of styles varying from street dance, disco, cheer, lyrical, ballet jazz etc. The sessions will be delivered by experienced dance coaches in the form or fun games, activities and routines. Movement will range from stretching, conditioning, floor and vault skills. General skills will be based around rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round off, bridges, walk over and progressions. Each skill set will be taught by UKCC level 1 and 2 trained coaches and will be taught at the ability of the participants.

Kayaking (P7-S6)
Tues 18th Jul - Thurs 20th Jul 2023
10am - 4pm
This exciting activity is a very popular activity on our programme so please book quickly, a three-day course developing paddling skills on both flat and moving water. Each day we will visit a different more challenging venue building up to a grade 2 river trip. Participants need to be extremely water confident and able to swim 25m.

FAQs
How do I get a discount for additional children or families on income support?
To get the discount, please book your space online and pay in full. Once booked, email class4kids@renfrewshire.gov.uk with proof of Universal Credit (if required). They will then process the 20% discount as a refund to your payment method. If you have any problems or are not able to book and pay in fully initially, then please contact the email address first. Siblings will automatically receive a discount at checkout.
Camps will be delivered by Renfrewshire Active Schools and their qualified team of coaches.
Can participants refill water bottles?
Coaches will be on hand to refill bottles if required.
How are groupings made for camps?
Groupings at camps are generated based on your child’s age. We do it this way in the interest of your child’s health and safety while they are with us at our camps. The groups are also generated and capped in line with our sport and physical activity guidance and ratios of staff to children. Where possible we will work to accommodate your request as we want your child to have a memorable and enjoyable experience with us at our camps.
Lunch is available to be purchased on the day for the Multi-activity camp at On-x. Lunch offers start from £3.00.
