We’re thrilled to bring you one of Northern Ireland’s top talents, to celebrate the publication of her brand-new novel, The Raptures. Following the success of previous novels such as The Firestarters and Malcolm Orange Disappears, this story promises to have all the characteristic wit and incisive social commentary that we have come to love about Jan’s work. Set in Ballylack, a small Northern Irish community in 1993, against a backdrop of social and political division, this novel’s young protagonists are getting ready for summer when a mysterious illness strikes them down. Only one will remain unaffected. Join Jan as she reads and chats about the book with Director of Cúirt International Festival of Literature, Sasha de Buyl.
