These
poets will perform from work that explores the relationship between land and
memory: what memories does the land evoke? How, and what, does the land itself
remember? This event will uncover how poetry offers us a way to process
ancestral and personal histories through figurative elements. Through a variety
of forms and styles, including interdisciplinary work, it will also look toward
the broader questions of how one approaches writing about the land under a
colonial framework, and how ecologies weave together patterns of histories.
