Dave Alexander in discussion with Jim Stewart

Born and dragged up in Glasgow in a strange, dark era before mobile phones, Twitter and Photoshop.  Dave drew his own comics from a young age, although the first published comics work he was actually paid for was in 1982, for two front covers for DC Thomson's "Starblazer" series.

He was co-founder of adult humour comic "Electric Soup" in 1989, when his anarchic characters "The Mad Mentol MacBam Brothers" made their first appearance.

In 1999 along with Jim Stewart, Jamie Grant and Paddy "Pudsy" Morris he published the marijuana themed comic "Northern Lightz", which ran for eleven issues.

With writing partner Brian "Biscuit Tin" Bishop he had several full page strips published in "Viz" comic. He has produced cover artwork for DC Thomson's "Commando" comic series.

In 2008 he began working on Jim Stewart's "Ganjaman Presents" comic, four issues of which have appeared to date. Issue five of Ganjaman Presents is intended to be launched in July of this year and will feature a reprint of the Alan Grant scripted "MacTadger Connection", which originally appeared in issue four of Northern LIghtz.

Dave will be interviewed by comics collaborator Jim Stewart and they will discuss Dave's influences, career, writers he has worked with and some of the cartoon characters he has created.
