Vitality physical activity classes have been specifically designed for people living with medical conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, MS, Stroke, Cardiac Conditions, Cancer, Osteoporosis, Cognitive impairments, and COPD. They are also ideal for those who have a fear of falling or are finding that their strength and balance is starting to impact their daily lives.
Vitality is delivered by highly trained staff, meeting the required national fitness qualifications as well as having undertaken bespoke NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Vitality training delivered by a range of condition specific physiotherapists. There are four levels of classes available within the Vitality programme, each designed to build and maintain strength, improve co-ordination and flexibility. Each of these classes are explained in more detail below. We can help you choose a class that best suits your needs, making sure you are safe, comfortable and above all else having fun. Classes last for approximately 60 minutes in total with a warmup, main section and cool down/stretch included.
If the answer is YES to any of the following six questions, then you will not be eligible for direct access to Vitality without further investigation or medical authorisation. In this instance, please contact our team to provide support with the next steps.
