Stuck in the House Session 48 - Russell Stewart

Russell Stewart’s music is evocative and volatile.
Self-described as ‘alt soul’, this Glasgow songwriter crosses genres and moods with intricate lyricism, emotional twists and a dynamic sound.
His latest release ‘Citrus’, produced by Roan Ballantine and Stuart Ramage of VanIves, is a liberating outburst of slick synths and off-kilter beats, with potent lyrical jabs and an emotionally-charged vocal.
“Citrus is a song of self-acceptance. It’s about letting go of doubts and inhibitions and finding your zest for life.”
Having been featured on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio Scotland’s Introducing shows, Russell Stewart’s new single marks a maturity and progression in his sound, with more music on the way in 2021.
