Sporting Memories uses memories of sport and physical activity to tackle loneliness, depression and dementia. Takes place on a weekly basis at King George V Pavilion in Renfrew on a Friday at 10.30am.

At Sporting Memories we ensure everyone finds fun, friendship and increased wellbeing with lots of quizzes, games and fun activities.

This project has made such a positive impact to the people of Renfrewshire helping to reduce loneliness and isolation and we are very proud and excited to be part of the journey.

"I love helping at the sporting memories group because of the comradery amongst the group and the friendships that have formed. I really enjoy singing to the group and chatting about sport."

Ross McAllister, Volunteer

"I really like the group especially playing boccia. The group have a good laugh when my phone rings with the Star Wars theme for an update. The sporting memories group is really good."
