From Beano to Tara Togs with Stevie White aka ‘Stref’

Stevie White is a comic book writer and artist who lives and works in Edinburgh, under the penname Stref. His past credits include working with DC Thomson, on many strips and characters for the Dandy and Beano, the Digital Dandy, Oor Wullie and the Broons, and a cover for Commando.

He currently produces regular work for Viz magazine, and drew a 12 page Judge Dredd story for the 2025 Christmas edition of 2000AD. He has also published 5 independent graphic novels: Milk (2009), Raising Amy (2010), X (2010), Peter Pan (2015/2025), Tara Togs: The Silence Of Unicorns (2024), and is currently working on the second Tara Togs book: Tara Togs: Year One.
