Heidi Talbot

Irish-born, Edinburgh-based singer Heidi Talbot has built an acclaimed international career that bridges folk tradition and contemporary song. Described by The Sunday Times as “a voice that’s both awestruck and tender,” and hailed by Maverick as “simply vocal heaven,” she first rose to prominence in the U.S. with the Irish-American group Cherish the Ladies before launching a celebrated solo career. Heidi has performed around the world – from the White House to the Sydney Opera House – and shared stages and studios with artists including Mark Knopfler, Eddi Reader, Jerry Douglas, King Creosote, and Graham Coxon (Blur).
Her ninth studio album, Grace Untold (November 2025), is a luminous song cycle honouring goddesses, heroines, and the women whose stories shape our world. It marks her debut as producer and continues her evolution as a songwriter of honesty and depth. A winner of Composer of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards, Heidi has been nominated for BBC Folk Singer of the Year, Best Traditional Song, and Best Live Act.
