The Hangar: Emma Pollock + Radhika

An evening of music, art and unexpected connections, The Hangar is curated by Sushil K Dade (The Soup Dragons / Future Pilot AKA) and Radhika, bringing together Scotland’s alternative artistic community for a multi-arts celebration that blurs boundaries and sparks collaboration. Each edition invites special guests and one-off performances designed to inspire, surprise and gently challenge how we experience art.

For this gathering, we’re thrilled to welcome Emma Pollock, one of Scotland’s most distinctive and compelling songwriters. Emerging from Glasgow’s fertile mid-90s scene as co-founder of The Delgados in 1995, alongside Stewart Henderson, Paul Savage and Alun Woodward, Emma helped shape five celebrated studio albums before the band’s initial chapter closed in 2005 (followed by a much-loved return to live shows in 2023).

Her solo work since has confirmed her singular talent: beautifully crafted records that pair melodic brilliance with emotional depth and an unmistakable voice - intimate, intelligent and quietly fearless.

The evening will also feature ad-hoc sounds from Radhika’s dream-pop group, celebrating the release of their debut album Cine-Pop this year - shimmering textures, cinematic moods and fleeting moments of collaboration created especially for The Hangar.

Expect a night where songs unfold, disciplines overlap, and the unexpected feels right at home.
