We provide leadership opportunities through our Active Schools and Community Sports Hub programmes. Our main leadership opportunities are:
Renfrewshire School of Sport Education (RSSE)
RSSE is a 22-week programme that offers 5th and 6th year pupils the opportunity to attend workshops to gain coaching qualifications to enable them to become young leaders within the Active Schools programme. This opportunity is offered via high school PE departments in partnership with the schools Active Schools Coordinator.
Sports Leadership Classes
Our Active Schools Coordinators support sports leadership classes in all high schools within Renfrewshire. These classes are targeted to 4th, 5th, and 6th year pupils to provide each pupil in the class basic sports coaching experience and to support the extra-curricular clubs within their own schools.
Coach Education Opportunities
A variety of coach education opportunities are available throughout the year for anyone wishing to gain experience of qualifications in a variety of sports. These opportunities are open to all. Contact Amy below to find out more.
