From Punk to Paolo is a live celebration of Paisley’s contemporary music story, from the energy of punk through to the success of Paolo Nutini - all curated and hosted by BBC Broadcaster, Vic Galloway. The event will feature a 10-piece house band led by Joe Rattray of Admiral Fallow with guest singers performing songs that reflect key eras and influences in Paisley and Scotland’s musical landscape.
Richard Jobson of The Skids, The Rezillos, Kathryn Joseph, King Creosote, Emma Pollock, C Duncan, Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub) kitti and Linzi Clark will be covering everything from The Buzzcocks to Scottish favourites Altered Images and Aztec Camera as well as Paisley artists Gerry Rafferty and of course Paolo Nutini. Through live performance, visuals and narration, the event will chart the evolution of Paisley’s recent musical history, capturing the creativity, resilience, and identity that have defined Paisley through the last few decades. Get ready for a triumphant night of hits and singalongs with some of Scotland's finest!
