Pam Hogg: Style, Defiance and the Art of Being Seen Hosted by Irvine Welsh

Born in Paisley, Pam Hogg was one of Britain’s most fearless and original designers, a figure whose work blurred the lines between fashion, performance, music and protest. Refusing convention and self-taught, Pam built a body of work that was confrontational, witty, political and beloved by the likes of Blondie, Siouxsie Sioux and Shirley Manson. In this special one-off event for Paisley Arts Festival, writer and close friend, Irvine Welsh leads a reflective conversation exploring Pam's life, legacy and cultural impact. Drawing on personal reflections and wider cultural context, guests include voices from music, journalism and fashion including Scottish model and actor, Eunice Olumide MBE.
Set against the backdrop of Paisley - a town that has produced an extraordinary number of radical creative voices - this event forms part of the festival’s wider theme, The Paisley Sound: creativity as protest, anarchy and identity.
